Ms. Odell began her career in healthcare in Nashville with Gresham Smith & Partners, was promoted to Associate/Director of Interior Design. She decided to expand her design knowledge and took a position in Dallas, TX where she rose to Managing Principal of Neville Lewis Associates, later PHH Environements, which was a national, award winning, corporate interior design firm.
After the sale of the firm she was asked to join a former client, Central and Southwest Corporation, now American Electric Power, as the Director of Corporate Services where she worked for a decade. Upon their sale, she decided to return to healthcare at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as Director of Health System Planning.
She was then hired by Leo A Daly and worked at BOKA Powell before starting her own consulting firm, Planning Matrix, where she consulted with multiple firms on management and business development to expand her experiences.
She is a gubernatorial appointee to the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and serves on the executive committee of the Texas College and University Facilities Professionals organization.
She recently joined The Ginger Grant Group, Dallas, TX.
