Focused on a transformative approach, the company’s Floors That Move You concept revolutionizes the perspective on flooring – from product to customer experience. Mohawk Group is featuring a comprehensive collection of flooring possibilities and experiences at the company’s Merchandise Mart showroom, space 3-377. Held annually in Chicago, NeoCon is North America’s largest three-day design exposition and conference for commercial interiors.

This year, customers can experience Mohawk Group’s unique perspective on flooring, which is exemplified by its Moving Floors Collection, a carpet tile collection that allows designers to create dynamic sensory experiences unique to each user. The company launches 10 new collections that span across every flooring category – broadloom, carpet tile, woven, luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and its newest category, hardwood. Mohawk’s comprehensive flooring solutions allow designers to create lasting environments with enduring product and visionary possibilities. The company is focused on creating transformative experiences through flooring solutions, service, responsiveness and customer relationships.
Experiential Showroom & Social Media Events
Customers can experience Mohawk’s visionary approach to the interior landscape at the company’s showroom during show hours, as well as, during the company’s special cocktail events on Monday and Tuesday, 3-5 pm. A special sustainability event is being held on Tuesday. The company is hosting an off-site customer event at Galleria Marchetti. A highlight for the company during NeoCon is an interactive social media campaign using #MyShoesonMohawk. During the show, attendees are encouraged to snap a “selfeet” — a photo of their shoes on a Mohawk floor — for a chance to win a pair of designer shoes. Using #MyShoesonMohawk, the winning entry will be selected via Instagram and Twitter. Customers can use Mohawk’s third floor showroom throughout the duration of the show, as well as during the Monday night customer event. To inspire attendees outside the company’s showroom, “selfeet” stations will be located in the Kinzie Street lobby of the Merchandise Mart.
NeoCon Keynote: 13&9 Design
This year, Mohawk Group is sponsoring one of NeoCon’s keynote speakers, Innocad’s 13&9 Design, the company’s newest collaborators. Moving Floors, designed in collaboration with Innocad’s 13&9 Design, is the company’s first innovative carpet collection designed to be dynamically moving based on the user’s changing point of view. The collection epitomizes Innocad’s 13&9 approach to design, which is a unique dialogue between the individual and the environment with a focus on concepts of modularity, compatibility, flexibility and transformation.
Through Mohawk Group’s aggressive transparency initiative, the company is leading the industry in eliminating red list ingredients in its products and providing detailed information to customers in order to make well-informed decisions when specifying products. The company’s Declare label program provides a clear ingredients list for building products and a quick assessment of whether or not the product is free of red list materials. Mohawk Group currently has 16 Declare labels that cover the majority of its commercial offerings. In addition, the company continues to evaluate and improve product ingredients by now including bio-based content in its new and one of its most popular LVT collections – Mass Appeal (launching at NeoCon) and Global Entry collections.
