AAHID Industry Partner noraplan® nTx has been awarded a 2014 Record Product Award from Architectural Record magazine. A panel of six judges from leading architectural firms chose winning products from among 500 submissions across eight product categories.
noraplan nTx was a winner in the Finishes and Surfaces category, which included tile and surfacing, acoustic treatments, flooring, wall coverings and panels, and paints and coatings. The revolutionary sheet flooring features a pre-applied, solvent-free self-adhesive that minimizes prep work and eliminates drying time to simplify the flooring installation process, saving general contractors and flooring contractors valuable time and money.
“We’re delighted to receive this award, which recognizes nora’s® ongoing commitment to bring to market innovative products that meet the challenges our customers face each day,” said Amy Bostock, global brand manager of nora systems GmbH. “noraplan nTx can cut flooring installation time by as much as 50 percent when compared to standard PVC sheet installation. In fact, no other resilient flooring will install more quickly, reliably or cost-effectively than noraplan nTx.”
noraplan nTx is resistant to moisture and has no pH limits. As a result, the floor covering eliminates the need for time-consuming and costly moisture testing and remediation and requires minimal preparation of the concrete slab.
Because noraplan nTx also eliminates the use of a wet adhesive system and the associated curing and drying time, floors can be cleaned or walked on immediately after installation. At the same time, the floor covering eliminates the need for multiple component suppliers and ensures the same performance reliability nora customers have come to expect from nora.
Winners in all categories of the Record Products competition will be featured in the December 2014 issue of Architectural Record.
