Christine Emanuelson is the Deputy Director, Interior Design, Environmental Programs Service for Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Emanuelson obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and obtained her National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification in 2004 and became a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer (CHID) in 2019. Prior to her career with VA, Ms. Emanuelson worked in the Interior Design Industry for nine years at two Herman Miller Dealerships where she specialized in Healthcare Clinical design. Her career with the VA began at the Pittsburgh Healthcare System as an Interior Designer in 2006.

Ms. Emanuelson has been actively involved in the professional interior design community and service organizations for over 20 years. She has been a member of the International Interior Design Association, Interior Design Licensing Coalition of Pennsylvania, and Association of Junior Leagues International, where she served in a variety of leadership roles as a chairperson of several committees and Board of Directors.

While at VA, Ms. Emanuelson has co-chaired the EPAC Mental Health Work Group, and served as a Director’s Advisory Board (DAB) member for 3 years. As a DAB member, she was and continues to be actively engaging in work groups such as Interior Design Monthly Conference Calls, Interior Design SharePoint/Web site, Patient Centered Care, Development of the EPS Interior Design Program Guide, CFM manual and guide updates, various Directives related to the Interior Design Program, and the Annual VA Interior Design Training Event planning committee. Ms. Emanuelson joined EPS in December 2012.
