Gail Sterling serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for AAHID.  She is a Principal and Interiors Studio Leader at WHR Architects, a full service architectural design firm specializing in the design of healthcare and higher education/lab science facilities. Gail has over 30 years of professional practice experience, specializing in healthcare design for the last 24 years. Gail focuses her efforts on developing patient-centric solutions through a collaborative process with her clients. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College and is a registered interior designer in the state of Texas. She has been actively involved with International Interior Design Association (IIDA), serving at the local, regional and international levels. Gail was inducted into IIDA’s College of Fellows in 2008 and continues to serve the design profession as a juror for numerous IIDA and healthcare design award competitions. She is one of 50 Founding Members of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID). Additionally, Gail serves her community as an enthusiastic volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, an organization that provides scholarships for Texas students.
