Keep your CHID credential current by recertifying.
Recertification validates your knowledge base with the most up-to-date assessment, assures your continuing competence as CHID Certified Healthcare Interior Designer®, and maintains the standard for the profession.
Certificants due to recertify are required to earn 10 continuing education units (CEU) and submit a $375 fee with their application every two years. In preparation, we encourage you to review the Recertification Handbook
Date | Information |

June 1, 2024 | The 2024 application to recertify becomes available. CHIDs due to renew in 2024 may submit payment online during application or by check via mail to AAHID. |
December 31, 2024 | Certification expires for those due to renew in 2024. While applications to recertify may still be submitted, no CE earned after this date will be accepted. |
January 31, 2025 | Grace Period Deadline with Late Fee - All 2024 applications to recertify must be submitted with payment and those paid by check must be received (not postmarked) at the AAHID office with the late fee of $100. No applications received after this date will be accepted. |
